How Vicki works

With over 25 years of HR experience, Vicki knows that most people issues don’t need to be made more complicated than they already are. Her approach is straightforward, practical and commercially minded, helping businesses make confident decisions while managing risk.

Above all, Vicki understands that HR needs to work for the business, not the other way around. Businesses need to be profitable, leaders face competing priorities and people decisions have commercial consequences. Her role is to help balance those realities, manage risks and find practical solutions.

Vicki aims to be the person business leaders feel comfortable picking up the phone to, knowing they’ll get a sensible answer from someone who understands their business.

Straight answers

Vicki gives clear, honest advice without unnecessary jargon or complexity. She explains the risks, offers a practical way forward and isn’t afraid to challenge thinking when needed. With years of experience supporting businesses and leadership teams, she knows there isn’t always an obvious answer, particularly when the stakes are high.

Part of the team

Vicki works closely with founders, CEOs and leadership teams, taking the time to understand their business, people and priorities. She’s not there simply to advise from the sidelines. She gets involved, helps make decisions and supports businesses in getting things done.

Proportionate

Not every people issue needs a formal process, a new policy or hours of discussion. Sometimes a straightforward conversation is enough; other times, a more structured approach is essential. Vicki uses her experience and judgement to recognise the difference, ensuring the response fits the situation.

Discreet

People matters can be sensitive, complex and personal. Vicki handles them with confidentiality, professionalism and sound judgement, building trusted relationships with the leaders and businesses she supports.
